Day 02: 15/06/2014
Arrival at Chandigarh and proceed to Shimla (90 Kms) 4 hrs

Shimla - Sarhan (184 kms/ 7 hrs)
We start our ride to Sarhan Enroute; and visit the palace in Rampur . We drive
further the steep mountain and arrive in Sarhan (1950m). Sarhan, the tiny
village offers the splendid views
of Shrikhanda Mahadev Peak (5155m). You will also visit the famous Bhimkali
Temple , the big attraction of Sarhan. Overnight Stay.
Day 04: 17/06/2014
Sarhan - Sangla (304 kms/ 8 hrs)
Drive along the spectacular Hindustan Tibet road which is carved in a rock and
goes along the wild Sutlej River . A view of Kinner - Kailash Peak is splendid
from Sangla. Visit remote villages of Rackcham and Chitkul. On arrival in Sangla
check in and overnight at camp.
Day 05: 18/06/2014
Sangla -Kaza (211 kms/11 hrs)
Morning visit to Kamru village and fort. Later travel by surface from Sangla to
Kalpa located in backdrop of Kinnar Kailash mountain range. Evening free to
explore Kalpa village.
Travel byx surface from Kalpa to Tabo enroute visiting Nako village beautifully
located on the banks of a small lake.
Day 06: 19/06/2014
Kaza - Nako (150 kms /6 hrs)
In the morning drive to Keylong via Kunzum Pass (4558 m/14,950ft) which
provides beautiful views of CB ranges. Enroute visit several villages of Spiti and
Lahaul valley. On arrival check in at hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the

Keylong - Leh (318 kms/ 12 hrs)
Today we will drive from Keylong to Leh over Baralacha Pass (4800). One
climbs a series of Galta loops consisting of 32 hairpin bends on the way up from
Sarchu and come out in Pang valley. It is here that one can divert to the right
and visit the huge high altitude lakes of Tsokar and Tsomoriri.
This region also has rare wild life like the Tibetan wild Ass, wolf, and the elusive
Snow Leopard, the black-necked Crane and Tibetan Snow Cock. Cross to the
other side of the Pang, Tzanspo River to continue drive up to yet another
plateau for a long traverse on the legendary Moore plains. The highest of the
Tibetan Plateau at 4200 Mts. Continue driving Tanglang La (5280 Mts.) the
second highest motorable pass in the world that commands breath taking views
of the Zanskar range. A pleasant drive about 20 Kms brings you to the Ladakhi
hamlet, Gya, heralded by prayer flags. After crossing few more villages one
reaches the great Indus River . Further drive to Leh town, overnight at hotel.
Day 09: 22/06/2014
At Leh: -
After breakfast we leave for a tour of the Hemis Gompa. This monastery is the
best known in Ladakh. Around the monastery you will see Chortens or Buddhist
reliquaries and ornate walls. On the way back to Leh we will visit Thiksey
Monastery. This is situated on a mountain from where you can see panoramic
views of the Indus Valley. Within the monastery you can see many beautiful
Buddhist artifacts. We then leave for the Shey Palace, which was the summer
palace of the royal family of Ladakh. Also stop at Sindu Ghat (Indus river bank).
This is a nice picnic spot and good place to take some photographs and spend
some time here with you family. Return to your hotel to stay overnight.
Day 10: 23/06/2014
Leh - Pangong Lake – Leh (280 Kms / 9-10hrs)
After Breakfast leave for Pangong Lake 14,500 ft, through Changla Pass 17,350
ft. (third Highest Motorable road in the world.) Explore around the lake and later
drive back to Leh. En-route visit Hemis, Thiksey Monastery and SheyPalace.
Overnight in hotel.
Day 11: 24/06/2014
Leh - Nubra via Khardung La Pass – 150 Kms (5 hrs)
Khardung La is a high mountain pass located in the Ladakh region, Jammu and
Kashmir. The Siachen Glacier lies partway up the latter valley. Built in 1976, it
was opened to motor vehicles in 1988 and has since seen many automobile,
motorbike and mountain biking expeditions. Khardung La is historically
important as it lies on the major caravan route from Leh to Kashgar in Chinese
Central Asia. Khardung La is widely, believed to be the world's highest
motorable pass. Also covered - Diskit Gompa, Statue of Chamba, Buddha Park

After breakfast time free till departure. Later check-out and drive to Kargil. On

Kargil – Sonmarg). – 124 Kms (6 hrs)
Sonmarg - which is one of the most beautiful drive from Srinagar. You may take
a pony ride (at your own cost) to Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains round
the year. Welcome drink on arrival. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay.
Day 16: 29/06/2014
Srinagar - 80 Kms (2 hrs)
Morning after breakfast drive to Srinagar.
Depart to sweet home.
